Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies
Every food blogger has to put at least one of their favourite chocolate chip cookie recipes up on the internet, and I am no exception.
Well, I don’t have any ONE favourite cookie recipe, but it’s definitely one of the better ones I’ve tasted.

Blending the margarine and sugars (An important first step!)

The best part!

Ingredients:
- 1 1/3 cups unsalted butter or margarine
- 1 1/3 cups granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 cups oatmeal flakes
- 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- pinch of salt
Method:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
- In large bowl, cream butter with both sugars until fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, put together flour, baking soda and salt. Stir into batter. Add oats and chocolate chips, mixing well after each addition.
- Drop small spoonfuls of batter onto greased cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes.
- Makes about 4-5 dozen. If you don’t want this many cookies, wrap any excess dough in parchment paper and freeze it for later.
